Applicants must meet all University, College and Program requirements (described below) to become part of the applicant pool. Applications are accepted through the November 1st of the year prior to your entry term. Applications are accepted once a year and admitted students begin the program the following fall semester. If the PTCAS electronic letter of recommendation is completed the required letter can be entered into the “comments” section. If the hard copy recommendation is completed the required letter can be attached to the PTCAS form and mailed back to PTCAS.*

Applicants may fulfill a maximum of two required observation settings at one facility. The specific number of hours completed in each setting must be distinctly documented in PTCAS so the number of hours observed in each setting type is evident.

Applicants who self- submit uploaded observation forms must include the following information.

Forms without this information will not be accepted by the program.
– Total number of hours completed
– Signature and license information of the PT shadowed
– Type and setting of PT observed

All required hours must be completed and verified through PTCAS by the application deadline.

– General College Chemistry I and II with labs (Introductory Chemistry or Chemistry Calculation courses DO NOT fulfill this requirement)

Physics – General College Physics I and II with labs

Psychology – Two semesters of psychology including General Psychology and one additional psychology course. Suggested courses include Developmental Psychology, Child Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, or Psychology of Disability

Statistics – One semester of Introductory Statistics

Biology (One of the following three sequences should be met)

Two semesters of General Biology with labs (Botany courses are not acceptable) AND one semester of Human Physiology with lab (Human Physiology lab is preferred, but not required; Exercise Physiology is not acceptable)

B. One semester of General Biology with lab (Botany courses are not acceptable) AND two semesters of Human Anatomy and Physiology with labs

C. One semester of General Biology with lab (Botany courses are not acceptable), AND one semester of Anatomy with lab AND one semester of Human Physiology with lab (Human Physiology lab is preferred, but not required; Exercise Physiology is not acceptable)
